Start losing, draft high. Trade the right people. Don't win just the right amount of games to miss the playoffs and ruin your draft position. That is all.

staff for dubs - homiedclown
that would only save c bus 200K was thinking more sekera with his 2.75 mil, saves them 1.45mil plus gives them the flexability if they really are planning on moving Jack Johnson

When will dumber than dumber Darcy be let go..?
Sabres MUST be SELLERS...sell off Vanek an d Miller while they are at a relative high
Get draft picks that you can package with other players to move up in the draft to get 2 - 3 top 10 picks in a deep draft. Get rid of Stafford who only produces in a contract year. sell off Regehr, Leopold, and Sekera to create playing room for young D-men.
Time to rebuild and get rid of old core to create a new atmosphere. Team is way too boring
If Buffalo were battling for a playoff spot, I could understand sitting Grogorenko for the more experienced Hecht, but what's the point of doing it now? Give the kid some experience that will pay dividends next season.

They're showcasing Hecht because he's a young up and comer in the Richard Park mold.
